How it works
A working day, or business day, is any Monday to Friday. The count starts on your start date and runs up to the end date. By default the end date is not counted, so Monday to Friday of the same week is 4 working days; tick Include the end date to make it 5.
When adding working days, the start date is day zero: 1 working day after a Friday is the following Monday. Public holidays are not taken off, because every country has its own. Subtract one day for each public holiday in your range. Read more in our guide on how to count business days.

How many working days are in a year?
Most years have 260 or 261 weekdays (Monday to Friday), before public holidays are taken off.
How many working days are in a month?
Between 20 and 23, depending on the month's length and the day it starts on.
Is Saturday a business day?
Usually not. In most countries business days are Monday to Friday. This calculator treats Saturday and Sunday as the weekend.
